Sink Your Teeth Into Interpol's Gritty New Single 'Number 10'

On Monday (July 30), Interpol dropped the second single off their upcoming album, Marauder, which is slated for an August 24 release via Matador records. "Number 10" is a gritty, unpolished track that shows the band going back to its Turn Off the Bright Lights roots.

"The song tells the story of a secret office romance between Ella, a domineering boss, and her employee," says a statement about the track. "Their pent-up (and unconsummated) desire is matched by the song’s anxious tone, with its surf-inspired bassline, dueling guitars, and punchy percussion building up to an unrestrained, yearning finale."

Earlier this month, Interpol revealed the cinematic video for the album's first single "The Rover." The band also announced a world tour, which kicks off in mid-August. Check out a full list of dates below.
