The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina finally has a release date! The rebooted and reimagined story of teenage witch Sabrina Spellman will arrive ready for a ten-episode binge on October 26, 2018, just in time for Halloween.
The show's premiere date was announced TCA over the weekend, but the cast celebrate the news on Instagram. How did they celebrate, you ask? With their very own version of the #InMyFeelings challenge, of course. Is there any other way? I don't think so.
Kiernan Shipka, who plays the titular Sabrina, shared the video. If you look closely, you can see Ross Lynch, who plays Sabrina's love interest Harvey, in the back. The video also features other cast members, such as Tati Gabrielle, Abigail F. Cowen, and Lachlan Watson.
There hasn't been a trailer yet, however, cast members have been giving fans a sneak peek behind-the-scenes as filming for the first season progresses. Kiernan shared a cute shot with her co-star Ross driving in a red truck, captioning the shot "We saw 103 and 104 last night and HOLY MOLY THIS SHOW IS GOOD and I’m so excited for it."
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina takes place in the same universe as Riverdale, which is the television adaptation of the Archie Comics. It appears that Sabrina will follow in Riverdale's footsteps by taking already beloved characters and putting them into a grittier, modern version of their original, comic book world. It's described on IMDB as "A dark coming-of-age tale that follows Sabrina, as she wrestles to reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while fighting evil forces." Definitely the perfect Halloween binge!
