Jennifer Aniston really wants a Friends reunion.
During a candid chat with her good friend (and Jimmy Kimmel's wife) Molly McNearney for InStyle's September cover story, the 49-year-old couldn't help but gush about her time playing Rachel Green on the beloved '90s show.
"Before that show ended, people were asking if we were coming back," Aniston says. "Courteney [Cox] and Lisa [Kudrow] and I talk about it. I fantasize about it. It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don’t know what it would look like today, but you never know. So many shows are being successfully rebooted."
She notes that Matt LeBlanc—whose Joey Tribbiani was the only Friends character to receive a spinoff—is the one who'd need convincing.
"I know Matt LeBlanc doesn’t want to be asked that question anymore," she confesses. "But maybe we could talk him into it. Or we just give it some time and then Lisa, Courteney, and I could reboot The Golden Girls and spend our last years together on wicker furniture."
Kudrow discussed the possibility of a reunion during an appearance on Conan in January.
"They’re rebooting everything. I mean, something should be done, but I don't know — how does that work with Friends, though?" she admitted. "That was about people in their 20s, 30s. The show isn’t about people in their 40s, 50s. And if we have the same problems, then that’s just sad. That’s not fun."
The show's co-creator David Crane was much more pessimistic about the thought of a Friends revival while serving as a panelist The Wrap’s Emmy Series comedy show runners in June.
"Never happening. Never. We did it! It’s done," he said bluntly. "That’s why you don’t want to see more of it, because it’s all a happy ending."
