A popular YouTube channel was temporarily shut down over a video in which children were fed laxatives as a prank. Cordero James Brady runs the YouTube channel CJ SO COOL, which has 5.6 million followers, and he uploaded a video of a prank he played on his kids.
In the now-deleted video, Brady laced some ice cream with Pedia-Lax and fed it to his unsuspecting children. He then filmed them later in the day sitting on the toilet, clearly in pain with tears in their eyes.
"My stomach hurts," screamed one of his kids. "Oh my goodness, this boy's stomach is broken!" Brady joked.
The video was from 2016, and according to the Daily Mail, police in Henderson, Nevada investigated the clip but it appears that no charges were ever filed against Brady.
"There was a case that was investigated in 2016 involving laxatives and this individual. It was a joint investigation with Clark County Child Protective Services. It was submitted to the DAs office and it was recommended as a criminal case."
According to The Sun, Brady's channel is filled with cruel and unusual pranks that he plays on his family. In one video, he shoots off fireworks inside their bedroom and claims it was a prank because they thought the fireworks were gunshots. In another video, he tells his partner, Royalty, that her infant daughter had drowned in the pool.
Despite the content of his videos, the channel remains active on YouTube. The video sharing site released a statement explaining that “content that endangers minors is unacceptable to us and we have strict policies prohibiting child endangerment and harmful and dangerous content. We remove content that violates our policies as soon as we’re made aware of it.”
