Zombie Boy From Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' Video Dead At 32

Model Rick “Zombie Boy” Genest has died of an apparent suicide at the age of 32. He was best known for starring in Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" music video. Genest was reportedly found in his apartment in Montreal's Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood, according to Radio-Canada. Gaga also confirmed the devastating news on Twitter on Thursday night (August 2).

"The suicide of friend Rick Genest, Zombie Boy, is beyond devastating," Gaga shared. "We have to work harder to change the culture, bring Mental Health to the forefront and erase the stigma that we can’t talk about it. If you are suffering, call a friend or family today. We must save each other."

In a follow-up tweet, Gage wrote: "Science tells us that it takes 21 days to form a habit, if you are suffering from Mental Health issue I beckon for today to be your first day or a continuation of the work you’ve been doing. Reach out if you’re in pain, and if you know someone who is, reach out to them too."

While well known for his role in Gaga's "Born This Way" video, Genest also holds a Guinness World Record for the most insect tattoos on his body, as well as another record for the most human bone tattoos. The heavily tattooed model was also recently partnering with Home Depot Canada Foundation to bring awareness to youth homelessness, according to People. He would have celebrated his 33rd birthday on August 7th.
