'The Facts Of Life' Star Charlotte Rae Dies At 92: Castmates Pay Tribute

After news spread that Charlotte Rae, the famed actress who portrayed lovable mother Mrs. Garrett on Diff’rent Strokes and The Facts of Life, died on Sunday (August 5) at her Los Angeles home, it's clear that the Hollywood veteran will be severely missed. She was 92.

Co-stars from both of Rae's longtime series, including Todd Bridges (Strokes) and Mindy Cohn (Facts), took to social media to pay tribute to the late actress, who revealed that she had been diagnosed with bone cancer in 2017. "At 91, every day is a birthday," she previously admitted to PEOPLE in 2017 of her memoir, The Facts of My Life. "[In my book] I want to tell everybody to celebrate every day, to savor the day and be good to yourself, love yourself, and then you can be good to others and be of service to others."
