This Is Why Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth May Never Get Married

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's relationship has been a rollercoaster ride. The two got engaged in 2012, called it quits in 2013, and three years later got back together with plans to walk down the aisle. But that wedding still hasn't happened, and it's led to break up rumors galore.

Although the couple is still together, they may never say "I do," but not for the reason you may think.

TMZ spoke with sources close to the couple who debunked split up rumors and explained why Miley and Liam are in no rush to get married. According to them, the "formality of marriage isn't important" to the pop star and actor—love, happiness, and enjoying each other's company is what the couple holds dear. While this all makes sense, it creates another question: Why get engaged in the first place?

The source says their October 2016 engagement is "a symbol of commitment," and that's good enough for them. Miley doesn't even want to get married, according to the source. She doesn't think it makes a relationship better.

One source assured TMZ that despite the disinterest in tying the knot, Miley and Liam are just as solid as married couples. "They're both super chill and grounded," they said. "They're perfect for each other."

As for the constant break up rumors? The couple reportedly just laughs them off.
