Winter is coming! New Yorkers get ready because we may see some mid-week snow that could be the start of a storm coming next weekend.
There is a chance of snow Thursday night and early Friday morning, making your work commute a slippery one according to the National Weather Service forecast. Although there's no final details about how much snow will fall, the snow may even be followed by rain later on Friday, January 18th.
Bundle up though because even more snow is expected next weekend. A winter storm may be coming to cover the entire Northeast with snow and ice according to Weather.com.
"There is the potential for widespread accumulating snow and ice along and north of where the low (pressure) tracks through parts of the Midwest and Northeast," the website says.

Thursday Night A 50 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28.
Friday A chance of snow before 9am, then a chance of rain between 9am and 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
