Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich never tried to have a baby, but the couple did make the decision to freeze her eggs.
In the June cover story of Women's Health, Hough, 31, says that their decision came as a result as her endometriosis diagnosis, which means she might need to undergo an IVF procedure to get pregnant. "I think the healthier I am from the inside out -- as far as my beliefs, my energy, what I’m putting into my body -- the better prepared I'll be when the time comes," she told the magazine. "We never actually tried to get pregnant. It was more of a precautionary measure: Let's do our due diligence for the future by freezing eggs."
Hough went on to admit that she wants to become a parent, but it's all about doing it at her own time. "I believe in soul love, whatever that looks like. I kind of don't believe in labels. It doesn’t mean that I won’t have a baby, etc," she says. "It just means that I’ve unplugged from what I feel like I should be doing versus what I actually want to be doing."
Hough and Laich garnered attention in recent weeks after it was revealed that the two have been quarantined separately, despite being married. Hough is in Los Angeles, while Laich is in Idaho. At the top of this year, it was reported that the two have "been having problems for months." Even without Laich by her side, the actress told the mag that she's making sure that she's practicing gratitude on a daily basis. "I’m putting effort into what the table looks like," she admitted. "So that there’s love in it. I’ve been praying before every meal; thanking the grocery store workers."
