NYC Pride To Hold Virtual Rally Event On June 26

As human rights come under attack under the current political environment, we must all Rally together!

Join us and our partners NYC Pride for a virtual Rally event on Friday, June 26 streaming live via Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook from 5-8pm to learn the importance of voting, learn how media coverage of LGBTQIA+ stories has changed during the global pandemic and much more.

Hosted by trans journalist Ashlee Marie Preston and trans actor Brian Michael Smith, join the community as we Rally together to take a stand against police brutality and discrimination.

Register for the event here.

The first Rally occurred one month after the Stonewall Riots in June 1969, when 500 people gathered for a “Gay Power” demonstration in Washington Square Park, followed by candlelight vigil at Sheridan Square.

Our partners at NYC Pride are happy to announce a very special Pride Broadcast Event to take place on Sunday, June 28 from 12 - 2pm on ABC 7 as a commemoration and celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first Pride March that took place in 1970.

In 2020, Pride is very much alive as this broadcast features several artists such as Billy Porter, Janelle Monáe, Deborah Cox and so many more. We are committed to saluting front-line workers alongside several leaders in the community honored as Grand Marshals - community leaders who represent hope, strength, perseverance, and inspiration for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Stay in, stay tuned, and stay safe as NYC Pride announces more virtual events for this Pride 2020 season.
