Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dina Manzo's ex-husband was charged by federal prosecutors Tuesday with conspiring to assault Manzo's then-boyfriend in an incident in 2015.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in New Jersey said Thomas Manzo and John Perna are facing multiple charges over the assault of Dina's now-husband Davin Cantin. They are alleging that Manzo commissioned from Perna in exchange for a discounted wedding reception at Manzo's restaurant. Prosecutors say that Perna is a 'made man' in the Lucchese mob family and that he and a associate attacked Cantin in the parking lot of a strip mall in the summer of 2015. Manzo and Perna are could up to 20 years in prison on the most serious charges against them.
Tuesday's charges are separate from the 2017 home invasion Dina Manzo and her husband had.
