Halsey Teases 5-Year Anniversary Of 'Badlands' With Mysterious New Site

On August 28, 2015, Halsey released her debut studio album, Badlands, which features iconic songs like “Ghost,” "New Americana,” “Colors,” and “Hold Me Down.”

Since its release, Badlands has gone double platinum and helped catapult Halsey into pop superstardom.

Starting earlier in the week, the singer uploaded photos from a recent vacation and fans started paying attention after noticing in all the captions she was using lyrics from her debut album — including “Drive,” “Castle,” and "New Americana.”

Then, on Friday (August 21) Just a week before Badlands hits its five-year-anniversary, Halsey has teased something special — and super cryptic — to celebrate the occasion. As someone who still has Badlands in her most-played albums, I seriously CANNOT WAIT for what she has in store for us!

Fans who are signed up for text alerts received an urgent message that reads, “I don't have much time. I'll leave instructions on VisitBadlands.com ... but hurry.”

Once you're on the site, fans get the message, “CAN YOU HEAR ME?” if you select “Yes” you'll have to type in a password (hint: if you call the number you'll hear it). Once you get the password, another tabs pops up and flashes the message, “5 YEARS IS A LONG TIME!!!”

All of the tabs are over a Badlands background with a flashing marque that reads, “Don't visit Badlands”

Halsey also posted a throwback photo to her Instagram Story from the Badlands era and all of the content is getting fans so excited!

“Explaining to my husband that Halsey texted me and we need to put our day on hold and head out to the badlands” one fan commented while another wrote, “keep running? you can't wake up? ma'am you're so cryptic tell us what you mean riGHT NOW!”

All I know is that I'm getting my coins ready to buy some Badlands anniversary merch!
