Ariana Grande’s family had the sweetest reaction to her engagement!
On Sunday (December 20), the “Sweetener” songbird shook the internet with the announcement of her surprise proposal from her boyfriend Dalton Gomez. “Forever n then some,” the 27-year-old pop star wrote on Instagram along with a slideshow of heartwarming photos, including a pair of images of Grande showing off her massive sparkler, which has been estimated to be worth $150k-$200k.
Among the thousands to send congratulatory messages to the newly-engaged couple was Ariana’s mother, Joan, and her brother Frankie.
Taking to Twitter, Joan wrote, “I am so excited to welcome Dalton Gomez into our family! Ariana, I love you and Dalton so much!!!! Here’s to happily ever after! YAY! xoxoxo.”
“I am so happy for you both and so excited to (officially) welcome Dalton into the family! YAY!” Frankie commented on Instagram. “This is just the beginning of a long-lasting life filled with laughter & love. Ugh. I love you both! HAPPY ENGAGEMENT!”
Stars like Demi Lovato, Hailey Baldwin, and Victoria Justice also congratulated the couple.
“This ring is everything!!!! I love you,” wrote Lovato, as Justice added, “Omggg 😭💕 congrats Ari!!! So happy for you. Your ring is just beautiful 😍"
After sparking their romance in March, the “7 Rings” star and the real estate agent made their relationship Instagram official in June, just weeks after appearing together in the “Stuck With U” music video alongside Justin Bieber.
As fans know, this is Grande’s second engagement. She had previously gotten engaged to SNL comedian Pete Davidson in the summer of 2018 before the couple called it quits that following October.
