When he's not recording new twenty one pilots music, Josh Dun has been taking to social media to post some drum covers.
He previously played an epic medley in November featuring songs from Linkin Park, Paramore, and more and now he's back with a cover that may surprise you. Taking to TikTok over the weekend, Dun threw us for a loop when his latest cover wasn't a rock cover but a theme song from Disney Channel.
As a nod to his wife, Debby Ryan, Dun got behind his kit to play the theme song to Suite Life on Deck — which Ryan starred in from 2008-2011. Captioning the video “my vows to Debby” fans could not get enough of it and it's already been viewed more than 1.2 million times on the app.
One fan pointed out how he made the wholesome lyrics suggestive by commenting, “'My vows to Debby' '...this boat's rockin'” and Dun even liked the comment. Many fans referenced the Disney show with the perfect replies including, “The real reason Bailey showed up late at the Eiffel Tower,” and “Don't let Cody Martin see this.”
While Dun doesn't indulge us with covers too often, the ones he does post are always on point. Plus, we're eagerly awaiting some new twenty one pilots music after the guys have had us on edge for months!
Most recently, Dun and Tyler Joseph sparked rumors of a new era after updating the header image on the band's Twitter and Facebook account at the beginning of January. They also literally pulled the plug on the never-ending “Level Of Concern” video that has fans convinced something is coming.
