According to Andy Cohen, we've all been mispronouncing Khloé Kardashian's name. While chatting with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Cohen set the record straight about how to correctly pronounce the reality star's first name.
"I was talking to you backstage, I said, 'You talked to Khloé Kardashian,' and you said, 'we've all been, pronouncing her name wrong this whole time,'" Fallon said, beginning the conversation about the Good American founder's moniker.
“It’s KLO-ay. KLO-ay is the name, there’s a little accent over the name,” Cohen replied, making sure to annunciate the accent on Kardashian's first name. Fans of Cohen's own talk show, Watch What Happens Live, will know this is how he's pronounced Kardashian's name for years.
Cohen revealed that even some members of Kardashian's famous family didn't realize they were mispronouncing their sister's name. While interviewing the Kardashian family for the new E! series,For Real: The Story of Reality TV, Cohen recalled pronouncing her name as KLO-ay in front of Kardashian's older sisters, Kim and Kourtney. "The other women go, 'Excuse me?' And Kris [Jenner] said, 'Yeah, that's actually really how it's pronounced,'" he shared. "There's a little thing on top of the name, why am I the only one that got that? I got the memo."
