There’s a cat burglar in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Police arrested a Calumet man, 52, on charges of home invasion and felonious assault in connection with the incident.
The Laurium Police Department, in Houghton County, reported that an home intruder pointed a gun to a man’s head shortly after 4 a.m. on Wednesday (March 24). The intruder apparently demanded that the man hand over his two cats.
Police believe the culprit knew the resident of the home before the incident, and officials say the man left with one of the cats, mlive reported Wednesday.
The suspect was taken to the Houghton County Jail, according to TV6. The station also reported that Laurium Police said the stolen cat’s whereabouts were unknown as of Wednesday afternoon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
