'Bachelorette' star Ali Fedotowsky recently posted on Instagram revealing the reason behind why she's been hiding her face on her social channels. She shares with her followers and fans that she has been diagnosed with shingles.

The star admits that she was purposely not showing her face on the app recently. "I don’t really know why I wanted to hide it. I think it’s mostly because I didn’t want the added stress or pressure of the Internet while I was trying to rest and heal," she writes on Instagram.

Although people with shingles are usually diagnosed in their 50's or 60's, Fedotowsky, at 36, thinks it was brought on by stress in her life and wants to help other young people help detect if they too have it. She ends her post saying, "I’m trying to limit the stress in my life and hoping my vision clears up. Today the swelling is down a lot so I’m grateful for that!"

Fedotowsky was a contestant on The Bachelor in 2010. After leaving for personal reasons, she was named The Bachelorette for its sixth season. She was engaged to one of her contestants, Roberto Martinez, however they ended their engagement a year later. She married Kevin Mannoin in 2017 and have two children together.
