iPhone 13 Coming Fall 2021 But How Many People Are Still Using Old Ones?

Like clockwork, it's expected that we'll get another model of iPhone this fall sometime around the 3rd week of September. MacRumors.com reports that "iPhone 13 appears to represent 35%-45% of iPhone builds in Q3, this positive outlook gives us enhanced confidence that 2021's launch timing will be "normal". From a timing perspective, we believe the current iPhone 13 launch is slated for the third week in September."

But with the launch of yet another model of iPhone, don't you wonder how many people are still on the old versions? I'm still on the iPhone 11, she's battered and bruised and cracked but still full of life!

According to newzoo.com there are around 728 million iPhones in use as of 2017 which is 65% of all iPhones ever sold. A majority of those are the iPhone 6 which makes up 21% of the models being used.

The iPhone 7, which was the most recent model at the time of the survey, only accounted for 11% of models still in people's hands while the iPhone 4 from 2011 made up just 1%.
