Jaws dropped when Billie Eilish arrived at the MET Gala on Monday (September 13) evening. The 'Happier Than Ever' singer donned a blush pink tulle Oscar de la Renta gown that called back to old Hollywood glamour. She paired her ensemble with a classic glam and a cropped bleach blonde hairstyle.

In addition to being one of the best-dressed stars at the prestigious fashion event, Eilish is serving as co-chair alongside Timothée Chalamet, Naomi Osaka, and Amanda Gorman. The theme for this year's gala is 'In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.' When Vogue announced Eilish as a co-chair, they praised her for her "willingness to embrace an aesthetic as innovative as her music has pushed emerging brands into the limelight and challenged old rules about how a pop star should dress."

While chatting with Keke Palmer for Vogue, Eilish shared why she decided to pursue such a glamorous look. "It was time for this," she said. "And I feel like I've grown so much in the last few years. I've always wanted to do this. I was just scared and didn't feel comfortable in my skin, and I feel like I finally did. And it was time."

Eilish cited Holiday Barbie as the inspiration for her gorgeous ensemble. During a video segment with the Oscar de la Renta team, they also revealed Eilish was influenced by old Hollywood icons Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe. Eilish told them she wanted to be the "belle of the ball."
