The National Insurance Crime Bureau releases a report of the top 10 most stolen vehicles each year. The "Hot Wheels" report is broken down on a national level and state by state. So what does it look like for us in the tri-state area?

Basically, if you drive a Honda -- no matter where you live -- you better lock that thing up!

Honda Accords accounted for 1,775 vehicle thefts across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut in 2020, while Civics accounted for 1,293 and CR-Vs 745.

Here's what the top 5 look like in each state with how many were stolen and the most popular year that was stolen.

3. Toyota Camry — 561 thefts — 2015
