If you're trying to escape the clean up of a New Year's Eve bash at your own house by renting an Airbnb for the night, think again.
The rental platform, which bans large gatherings on properties to begin with, announced in November that there would be restrictions on users making one-night reservations on December 31st. The only way you'll snag a one-sleep stay on the last day of the year is a "history of positive reviews."
And if you're a user with a questionable renting history you could even see restrictions on two and three-night stays as 2021 comes to a close.
The platform's ban on large gatherings is an effort to avoid renting "chronic party houses."
