What is a snow storm without cuddling up in blankets and watching the best snow episodes of Gilmore Girls. Lorelai Gilmore is obsessed with the snow and Stars Hollow always looks so beautiful when it's covered in it. It may be fictional, but every first snow fall in each season of Gilmore Girls are some of the best episodes of television. Here is our ranking of the 'first snow' episodes of the TV series!
#6 Season 4, Episode 10 - "The Nanny And The Professor"
Although this episode is great, it just doesn't compare to the other first snow falls of the series. In this episode Lorelai and Michel walk to Sookie's house for a meeting about the new inn. The snowfall is a sign of new beginnings at the start of their opening a new business together.
#5 Season 3, Episode 10 - "That'll Do, Pig"
In this episode it is Richard's birthday and his mother Trix comes in to help celebrate it. She announces to the family she is moving back to the U.S. Rory has trouble with classmate, Francie and her and Dean decide to be friends which makes Jess very jealous!
#4 Season 5, Episode 11 - "Women Of Questionable Morals"
This is pretty much the only episode where Lorelai turns on her beloved relationship with snow. After guests cancel at the inn and a branch breaks over her car, she is torn about how much she loves the snow. However, Luke builds her an ice skating rink to get 'her and snow back together' which is just so adorable!
#3 Season 1, Episode 8 - "Love, War and Snow"
Although this is the FIRST 'first snow' episode of it is not the first on this list! Mainly, because it is an episode without Lorelai and Luke having a cute moment. Although we love her first date with Max!
#2 Season 2, Episode 10 - "The Bracebridge Dinner"
Maybe I'm just a sucker for adorable Rory and Jess scenes, but this one in the carriage ride around town is one of my favorites. Lorelai and Luke also have a cute moment together in a carriage. Plus let's not forget Jess ruining the snowman leading us all to assume Lorelai and Rory won the competition!
#1 Season 6, Episode 11 - "The Perfect Dress"
How could this episode not make you giddy with love! Lorelai goes from being unsure what to do about her wedding to getting everything done including finding the "perfect dress." PLUS it's on-sale! Just as she's telling Luke about how perfect everything is coming together it starts to snow!
