Nicky Youre was full of gratitude heading into Z100's JingleBall All Access Lounge presented by Splash.
Not has his song "Sunroof" found a home on Z100 New York, but he also feels like he's grown up as a performer over the past few months, performing at End of Summer Bash in September and now All Access a few months later.
"I love New York, I think it's my favorite city, and the Hudson Yards show was like my first show where I was starting to feel decent at shows," he told Maxwell & Crystal. "I'm starting to feel comfortable up there. It was a good one. I'm happy to be back in New York performing."
Nicky adds that he's super proud of the work he and his team have done over the past year plus. He also believes he's finally at a point personally where he can wrap his arms around his success and confidently move forward to what's next.
"If this happened to me like two years ago, I would have been freaking out way too much (laughs)," Nicky says. "I was just a weirder guy, like, I wasn't confident in myself at the time. Just had anxiety, things like that that everyone deals with. It's pretty crazy. I think the little me would be like, 'Holy balls, I can't believe you're doing this!'"

Nicky maintains that he still does not have a sun roof on his car; he resisted the urge to splurge on a big purchase, pending "a couple more hits."
