Ed Sheeran has called out fellow singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi after the latter got a massive music festival crowd to say some nasty things about the "Eyes Closed" singer. Sheeran took to Instagram this week to share footage of the hilarious moment in which Capaldi told the crowd at BBC Radio One's Big Weekend in Scotland, "Ed is not here today… yeah, f–k ’em! Everybody on the count of three say ‘F–k you, Ed!'” The crowd then eagerly obeyed as Capaldi cracked up at his own antics onstage.

"I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved," Sheeran captioned his video, tagging Capaldi. But he didn't stop there!

Following the clip of Capaldi at the festival, Sheeran pops up in the video to send him a message of his own. "I thought we were friends, Lewis," he tells the camera. "I thought we were friends! You f—ing c—!" Sheeran yells before clearly laughing at the fake beef the two stars have started.

Both Sheeran and Capaldi are on tour this summer. Sheeran is currently on his first North American tour in about five years and is also giving fans another chance to see him in a more intimate setting. In addition to the stadium dates, Sheeran revealed he will also be playing a series of theater shows in which he will play Subtract in its entirety. As for Capaldi, he just wrapped up his North American run in May but will continue his world tour in Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and more over the next few months.
