Billie Eilish has a new interview with Variety and in it, the superstar discussed the intricacies of her sexuality and her relationship to other women. âBeing a woman is just such a war, forever,â Eilish boldly stated in the opening graph of the interview published on Monday, November 13th. âEspecially being a young woman in the public eye. Itâs really unfair.â
The singer went on to confirm that she's attracted to women but feels intimidated by them. âIâve never really felt like I could relate to girls very well,â Eilish explained. âI love them so much. I love them as people. Iâm attracted to them as people. Iâm attracted to them for real.â She continued, "I have deep connections with women in my life, the friends in my life, the family in my life. Iâm physically attracted to them. But Iâm also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence.â
Elsewhere in the interview, Eilish continued to discuss her experience as a public figure, which often comes with sexual objectification. âMaybe my not really caring about being sexualized is because Iâve never felt desired or desirable," she said. "Iâve never felt like a woman, to be honest with you. Iâve never felt desirable. Iâve never felt feminine. I have to convince myself that Iâm, like, a pretty girl. I identify as âshe/herâ and things like that, but Iâve never really felt like a girl.â
She also addressed the internet's interest in her body. "I have big boobs. Iâve had big boobs since I was nine years old, and thatâs just the way I am. Thatâs how I look,â Eilish said. âYou wear something thatâs at all revealing, and everyoneâs like, âOh, but you didnât want people to sexualize you?â You can suck my aâ! Iâm literally a being that is sexual sometimes. Fâk you!â
