Joelle James Reveals How She Gets In The NYC State Of Mind For JingleBall

Joelle James has plenty of nostalgia for her time living in NYC last decade.

While she's spent much of her life out west, Joelle spent her formative college years in Boston and then New York City after that. Being back in town for Z100's JingleBall All Access Lounge felt like a homecoming.

To get back in the New York State of Mind, Joelle admitted to Maxwell & Crystal that the night before her All Access performance, she fell asleep to Sex & the City on TV with her bedroom window open so she could soak up the lights.

"It's really a feeling I cannot describe to you, it's so amazing," she says. "I'm so grateful. I've had success, hearing my music on the radio; I wrote the record 'Boo'd Up' ... But I just can't wait to hear my own records on your guys' station."
