Gigi Hadid has beau Bradley Cooper's back against recent breakup comments made by the Maestro star's ex, Suki Waterhouse.
According to Page Six, Waterhouse, who dated Cooper over a decade ago, made a few comments about their split being "dark and difficult" during an interview with British Vogue earlier this month.
“I really will say that I’m pretty strong at this point, but when something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you’re actually not doing well, and you can’t explain yourself to the world, that’s very isolating and disorientating. It probably has taken a decade to work myself out and actually be able to have this expansion in my life.”
Hadid was reportedly "furious" about a few comments the Burn actress made, and immediately came to her partner's defense, an inside source revealed to Page Six.
“Gigi is totally team Bradley and taking this up as her own cause. She isn’t about to let this go.”
Cooper and Waterhouse dated in 2013 and ended their relationship two years later.
The Daisy Jones & the Six star (who sparked a romance with 38-year-old Cooper when she was 21) referred to relationships she had in her twenties as "fetishizations," noting that she's been "afforded a little bit more respect" from partners in her thirties.
“I think when you only get loved in that way, you only get punished. When you get into your 30s you’re almost instantly afforded a little bit more respect. It’s kind of delightful and shocking at the same time.”
Both silver screen standouts have moved on since their breakup and even welcomed children into the world; Waterhouse with current partner and Twilight star Robert Pattinson, and Cooper with former partner and model Irina Shayk.
The A Star Is Born actor went public with his relationship with Hadid in January 2024, and the pair have been inseparable ever since.
