Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan are reportedly over.
A source confirmed to People that the 25-year-old "Espresso" singer and 32-year-old Saltburn actor have decided to "take a break" and end their relationship nearly a year after they first started dating, seemingly citing their individual focus on their respective careers.
"They are both young and career-focused, so they've decided to take a break," the source said.
News of their split comes weeks after an "incredibly blessed" Keoghan praised Carpenter as being "special" and a "strong, independent lady" while side-stepping a direct question about whether he was "in a relationship" with the "Taste" hitmaker.
Carpenter and Keoghan first sparked romance rumors in December 2023 and have repeatedly shown their support for each other during the course of their relationship, including Keoghan attending her Short 'n Sweet tour and reacting to flirty lyrics. The Irish actor even starred in the music video for Carpenter's "Please Please Please," which she later said he was "the greatest actor" to fill the role.
In August, rumors began to spread that the now-exes had called it quits, with one source noting that they were "on and off" but Keoghan seemingly shut down that speculation in a cheeky comment on a post honoring Carpenter.
