'Good Morning America' host, FOX Sports analyst and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan's daughter, Isabella, publicly shared a health update with PEOPLE six months after being declared cancer-free.
"It feels like I'm starting over," Isabella said via ABC News ahead of a special airing scheduled to air on February 5.
The Strahans also participated in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE this week in which the Pro Football Hall of Famer said he "knew she wouldn't quit" while discussing his daughter's battle.
“I always say she's a lot stronger than I am," Michael said.
“Her doctors feel very confident, she’s going to be fine,” he added. “That’s what we’re going to hold on to, but you’re nervous every time. That will never go away but as long as the results come back positive, then we’ll live to fight another day.”
Isabella was declared cancer-free in July and has since focused on her recovery. The University of Southern California student initially revealed she was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a cancerous, fast-growing tumor that develops in the cerebellum -- which controls movement and coordination -- while appearing alongside her father in an emotional interview for 'GMA' with her father's co-anchor, Robin Roberts, who had previously been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and myelodysplastic syndrome *MDS) in 2012.
Isabella said she experienced dizziness before the diagnosis and undergoing brain surgery in October, followed by rehabilitation and six weeks of radiation treatment. The 19-year-old said she went “two months of keeping it quiet, which has been difficult," but didn't want to "hide" her journey when she initially went public.
