Halle Bailey Requests Sole Custody Of Son To Prevent DDG From Abducting Him

Halle Bailey has asked a judge to grant her sole custody of her son Halo amid her legal issues with DDG.

According to a report People published Wednesday, May 14, the singer-actress requested legal and physical custody of the 18-month-old child she shares with her former boyfriend Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. a.k.a. DDG. She also asked to limit DDG's time with baby Halo to once a week for six hours while the child is in Los Angeles. A professional company would supervise DDG's visits with his son. Bailey also wants DDG to be prohibited from taking the child outside of Los Angeles County during their visits.

Halle Bailey requested legal custody to prevent DDG from abducting their child in the future. She previously accused him of physically and verbally abusing her in legal documents for a restraining order against the "Pink Dreads" rapper. She also claimed DDG has a history of not cooperating with her while co-parenting their son and has threatened to take or hide Halo from her.

The Little Mermaid star pointed to one instance in January when DDG got angry with her after she asked about a visitation schedule. He allegedly shouted at her and wrestled with her as she was strapping baby Halo into his seat in DDG's car. DDG allegedly slammed Halle's face into his steering wheel, which chipped her front tooth.

"At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair," she alleged. "He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain."

Bailey also requested that a judge order DDG not to travel with Halo without written permission. If he does get to travel with him, DDG must provide their travel schedule, copies of round-trip airline tickets, addresses, and phone numbers where they can be reached, and an open airline ticket for her if Halo is not returned. Bailey was granted a temporary restraining order against DDG, however, the judge still has to rule on the sole custody and her other requests. A court hearing has been set for June 4.

DDG was streaming live when he found out about Halle's allegations. He said, "that can't be real" on the livestream, but seemed to be unbothered by the situation when he commented about it on X. His mother also seemingly mentioned the allegations in an Instagram Story. See what they had to say below.

"I'm chillin btw," DDG wrote. "I have no worries ... streaming later on, no days off!"
