Lawrence got to steal a few extra days at home in New York City during a whirlwind year of touring with the Jonas Brothers and beyond, but siblings Clyde and Gracie Lawrence explain why playing Yankee Stadium with the Jo Bros. wasn't quite a dream come true.
"The tour started in New York and it ends in New York, it started with two Yankee Stadium [shows], which for us was insane, but we're Mets fans, so it was a little uncomfortable," Gracie told Maxwell & Crystal at Z100 All Access. "And then it's ending at the Barclays Center. So it's been this really full circle — quite literally — moment in our lives, where we left home and we came back home having this crazy experience under our belt."
"Mixed feelings," added Clyde of the Bronx gig. "We took the subway to the first shows, gonna walk home from the last one."
The native New Yorkers say they've enjoyed the challenge of converting new fans at each stop along the way.
"It's been crazy, the ability to play in front of this many people every night, to be able to play our stuff for them," Clyde explains. "We see it every night. There's some people that are singing every word to our songs, there's some people that are there and excited to hear a new band, there are some people that are like, 'I have no interest in this,' and we start playing like, 'We're going to make you interested in this.' And all three of those kinds of people are really fun to play to."
