People R Ugly are happy to read your DMs, but don't expect an early-morning response.
The West Coast-based rockers recalled to Maxwell & Crystal at Z100's All Access Lounge Friday how their manager frantically tried to reach them the morning they were officially booked for the show.
"I woke up to six missed calls from our manager Lisa over there," drummer Tristan Kevitch explains. "I answer and it's her and Maxwell in the studio and I'm in bed, messy hair, then Julian answers ... 'cause we're in L.A. time."
But the band is better at answering correspondences during waking hours. Bassist Bill Biersy explains that he checks the band's DMs each day because of how positive they all are.
"It honestly means the world to us," Bill says. "Every day we wake up and we get a message from a fan that just gives me a burst of dopamine. It's like a giant sun shining on me."
