Rising star, sombr is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter and producer, who writes and produces all of his own music, drawing inspiration from Radiohead and Jeff Buckley. With his hit song "Back To Friends," Sombre has been named iHeartRadio's newest "On The Verge" artist.
"Back to Friends" has been gaining traction worldwide, and sombr recently debuted the official music video for the song, which features model Charlotte D'Alessio. In a statement to iHeartRadio, sombr said of the track, "'Back To Friends' was written about when the lines become blurred between lovers and friends, and having to navigate going back to friends after sharing such intimate moments with someone."
Sombr, whose real name is Shane Boose, is a New York native raised on the Lower East Side. He started making music in his bedroom while studying classical music at LaGuardia High School. Now based in Los Angeles, Sombr continues to explore themes of young romance and heartbreak through his music.
Of his new iHeartRadio "On The Verge" status, sombr shared, "As a kid who grew up listening to the radio, hearing my own music on the radio is a crazy feeling and something that I never expected could be a possibility."
In addition to his music, Sombr is currently touring as the opening act for Daniel Seavey's Second Wind Tour and will join Nessa Barrett on the European leg of her "Aftercare Tour" in May.
