A woman in Georgia went into an emergency room and sat around for seven hours. She decided to simply up and leave. Despite never being seen, the hospital sent her a $700 bill for her visit.
Taylor Davis told WAGA-TV she rushed over to the Emory Decatur Hospital emergency room in July to treat a head injury. After sitting around for seven hours, she decided to up and leave.
A few of weeks later, a $700 bill from the hospital popped up in her mailbox.
Taylor claims “I didn’t get my vitals taken. Nobody called my name. I wasn’t seen at all."
Taylor contacted the hospital to confirm this was an error. She received an email from a financial services employee saying, “You get charged before you are seen. Not for being seen.”
YIKES.
