In a new survey done on behalf of a premium grooming company, eighty-two percent of Americans say that they fell in love at first sight with their dog.
Only seventy-seven percent say they fell in love with their partner at first sight. One in four pet parents would give their life for their furry friends, thirty-six percent of people consider their dog their closest companion and forty-six percent say they prefer to spoil their dog over their human partner.
The survey found that dog owners are extremely "committed to making their dog’s well-being a priority, and in many cases, taking care of their dog is even more important than taking care of their human partner."
