As Wednesday afternoon went along, we found out the following:
- He was found in the East Village.
- The police immediately labeled him a "person of interest discovered" after various belongings were left behind on the train. Items left behind included a Glock 9-millimeter handgun, 3 ammunition magazines, a credit card with his name on it and even a key to a U-Haul van.
- Residents of the Tri-State received emergency alerts to their phone similar to what you have gotten for AMBER Alerts.
- Frank James was caught near St. Marks Place and First Avenue in the East Village. NYPD sources said a Crime Stoppers call is what tipped authorities to his exact location.
