Eleven Year Old Miah Cerillo was in the classroom where the tragic shootings took place. She was reportedly hit by fragments and laid on the ground.
According to a CNN report, Miah rubbed her dead friend’s blood on her to trick the gunman into thinking she was dead. She details laying there and hearing police outside wondering why they aren’t saving her.

Earlier Friday Texas Department of Public Safety Col. Steven McCraw admitted the decision to not immediately go into the classroom was a huge mistake:
“From the benefit of hindsight, where I’m sitting now, of course, it was not the right decision. It was the wrong decision, period. There’s no excuse for that…”
