From Woodmere Long Island, 17-year-old Jacob Steinmetz just became the first known practicing Orthodox Jewish player to be drafted by the #MLB! Coming at 6-ft-5 inches and 220-pound Jacob was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks yesterday as he went in the third round and 77th overall. Steinmetz mentioned that he does keep the Sabbath, eats Kosher only, he does play during the Sabbath and other Jewish Holidays but walks to the games instead of taking transportation. Read more HERE
