This property owner has had ENOUGH of their first floor tenants who refuse to pay rent on 175th Street in Springfield Gardens, Queens NYC. They printed out a huge banner that reads "MY TENANT ON THE FIRST FLOOR ARE NOT PAYING RENT". According to details in this now viral Tiktok, the tenants allegedly owe more than $17,000 in back rent. The landlords, Calvin and Jean Thompson are so fed up and after owning the home since 1989 they say that they have began the eviction process to the first floor in the Queens Housing Court last month. The problem is that there are currently over 200,000 eviction cases pending at the moment and many say that the high cost of living in NYC is to blame.
