What Exactly Is The Meaning 'Sign Of Times'?

Harry Styles is obvie living his best life right now. His interview with Rolling Stone is out now and we have some answers about 'Sign Of The Times', but it's not exactly what we were hoping for. Ever since the song's release on April 7, word on the street was that the song was about One Direction and the break up 'hiatus', and the final tour, and the whole nine yards. According to Harry, it's a MUCH different story. Much different.

In the new Rolling Stone issue out now, Harry reveals that 'Sign Of The Times' is about death during childbirth... .... ....... Are you kidding me? According to Harry,

"The song is written from a point of view as if a mother was giving birth to a child and there's a complication... The mother is told, 'The child is fine, but you're not going to make it.' The mother has five minutes to tell the child, 'Go forth and conquer.'"

Harry also shared that somewhere in this universe is a seven minute voice memo version of the song. I'm sorry I'd love to believe that, but this song is definitely about One Direction.
