HAPPY AUTUMN! 5 Fall Activities in NYC

Pumpkin spice season is upon us!  In search of some fun autumn activities?  NYC has plenty for when the weather cools down.  Check out the coolest seasonal events happening all over the city!

Giant Pumpkin Weekend (October 21 - 22)  - Pour out some apple cider for your pumpkin homies, which will become the main display at New York Botanical Garden’s pumpkin garden. These monstrous gourds, weighing up to 1,800 pounds, are available to add a pop of orange to your Instagram feed! 

Annual Halloween Parade (October 31) -  Feelin' spooky?  The Halloween Parade kicks off at 7pm at Spring and Sixth Avenue, headed all the way up to 16th Street. Get ready to see beyond extraordinary costumes and plenty of scary sights!  

Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade (October 21) - We looooove The Village Halloween Parade, but we love puppies even more!  Head on over to the East Village to experience this annual event - DOGS IN COSTUMES AWWWW.  Best in Show can win up to thousands of dollars with in prizes.  

Fall Forrest Weekends (November 4 - 12) - Everyone loves the sound of leaves crunching under their feet!  Experience the colors of Fall this year in the New York Botanical Garden's Thain Family Forest.  Stroll through this 50-acre thicket and check out the bright orange, vibrant red, deep purples and golden yellows.  Guided tours are available, as well as free canoe trips!

NYC Marathon (November 5) - Make sure to grab a spot on the 26.3 mile route spanning all five boroughs to cheer on runners from all over the world!  Don't miss the opportunity to check out New York's most famous race. Don't forget to bring a thermos of hot chocolate and some snack age!
