Demi Rails Into The Pop Stars Who Don't Speak Out

Demi Lovato hung out with Billboard where she talked about her upcoming tour with Kehlani and DJ Khaled, avoiding fake people, and the industry's desperate need for brutal honesty.

"There are certain pop stars...who don't speak out politically, and they have more fans. But I'd rather speak up for the things I believe in than just be dismissive of the issues happening in out country."

Demi mentioned how Ariana Grande uses her power for good and how she's a genuine person to be around. In the past she's defended Katy Perry and given praise to Miley Cyrus. But is she leaving some one out?

"There are women that I don't get along with, and that's fine. My thing is don't brand yourself as a feminist if you don't do the work."

In the sit down, Demi also talked about recent events, including the school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

"There are too many shootings happening in this country. Obviously for me...politics are difficult to talk about. [But I] eventually take a deep breath and unload."
