New York City always has something fun to do over the weekend! Well, here are our "Z pop 3" picks for this weekend!
1. Record Store Day - Saturday, April 21
Record Store Day started in 2007 and has been an annual event since. The purpose of this day is to celebrate the culture of the independently owned record stores. There are also a bunch of exclusive releases in full on Record Store Day! If you don't see your local record store on the participating list, they might not want to take part in all of the promotions or to carry the exclusives. Just because a store isn't listed doesn't mean that they won't have awesome finds so I would still check it out!
If you want to find out what stores are participating you can check out RecordStoreDay.Com!
2. I Feel Pretty - In theaters now!!
The movie is about Renee Barrett, an ordinary woman who struggles with feelings of inadequacy on a daily basis, wakes up from a fall believing she is the most beautiful and valued woman in the world, despite looking the same she has always looked. With this newfound confidence she is empowered to live her life to the fullest! It's a comedy and is rated PG-13!
3. Revamp your Spring wardrobe!
This Saturday, April 21, in honor of Earth Day, the national thrifting emporium will sell a sizeable collection of secondhand items for just $1! All of the proceeds from the $1 selections will go to 5 Gyres in support of their efforts to research ocean pollution and engage communities in responsible use, design, and disposal of plastic materials. Just remember that the sale is cash only and make sure that you bring your own bag!
