Yoenis Cespedes Broke His Diamond Necklace Sliding Into Second

We all know that sports stars bring in BANK. Many invest it wisely (not that many, unfortunately) others blow it on cars, fancy toys, and jewelry. I really don't know too much about New York Mets' superstar Yoenis Cespedes' investment habits, but I do know that homie rocks some nice bling.


For some reason, lots of football and baseball stars thank that tucking their fancy jewelry inside their game jersey is going to keep it safe. Why would you find it necessary to wear giant diamond earrings while you've got on your football helmet? Why bring that diamond encrusted cross out to the diamond? I'll ever understand that. Although rockin' your jewelry is pretty commonplace among NFL & MLB players, the NBA is the only league that I can think off that has a rule prohibiting its players from doing so. And I can only assume this is why...

In Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Braves, Yoenes Cespedes of the Mets may have regretted the double he hit! While sliding into second base, the outfielder accidentally broke his diamond chain, sending jewels scattered throughout the infield!! That giant diamond necklace in the above picture...
