If you haven't heard about the K-pop group BTS, you've probably been living under a rock for the past year. They are one of the hottest bands in the world right now. Anytime you even MENTION these guys a literal hoard of fans are sure to be nearby. BTS is a Korean pop group that have been slaying the game in America.
BTS is making history here in the United States. This seven member band is the very first K-Pop group with two hits on the pop song charts.
While you may know BTS you may not know these other popular K-pop groups.
1. EXO
Based in Seoul, EXO is a Korean-Chinese Pop group. There are nine members in the band: D.O., Lay, Chen, Suho, Baekhyun, Kai, Xiumin, Chanyeol, Sehun. They made their debut in 2012 with twelve members.
2. GOT7
If you couldn't already guess this group has got seven members. These guys are gaining popularity pretty quickly. You might even start to hear more from members JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, BamBam, Yugyeom, and Youngjae since they're getting so big in the United States. You can see them all on their world tour this summer.
3. Girls' Generation
Girls' Generation is obviously an all girls group with seven members. These girls got their start back in 2000 when Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun formed the band. Some of their greatest hits are "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)", "Oh", and "I Got a Boy."
4. SHINee
There's only four members of this group. They are incredibly popular amongst all fans of K-pop. They've even been called the "Princes of K-pop." SHINee is also considered one of the BEST vocal groups in K-pop. So, these guys are pretty much the best of the best in the Korean pop world.
