The REAL Reason Behind G-Eazy and Halsey's Split

We're staring to get details about what actually broke up Halsey and G-Eazy. From what we're hearing, this wasn't unexpected.

News of the couple's spit came last week from social media. Singer Halsey posted on her Instagram the news about the breakup. In the statement she asks for privacy while the two go through this. Here's the message she left her fans on her Insta story in early July.

The breakup didn't stop the two musicians from their work though. Halsey is continuing her tour and G-Eazy made it back to the states to perform for GMA's Summer Concert Series.

Even though it's only been a little over a week since Halsey's announcement about the breakup, there are details surfacing about what might have really caused the split.

According to an E! News source the stress of their careers may have played a role. He or she claims the couple's year long relationship was full of many ups and downs. Apparently distance also played a huge part in this. Apparently there were some "trust issues" when the two were apart.

E!'s source says, "They both tried to remain strong to ensure their work commitments together went smoothly, but ultimately called it quits after too much fighting. The trust was lost between the pair when they were apart, and it got too difficult for both of them."

The source also says that the two are very upset about the breakup. Halsey even broke down crying during her very first performance after the breakup. Here's a video of the moment tears started to fall.

And G-Eazy? E!'s source is saying that he is keeping busy and trying to stay focused on his music. Apparently Halsey was thinking this relationship was going to be long term.

If you're thinking the couple is done for good then you might be mistaken. There are rumors that there's some hope for the relationship. They're taking a break, but they miss each other.
