Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande have become the newest Hollywood "it" couple. And after just a few weeks the couple got engaged earlier this summer.
Pete recently gave fiancee Ariana his father's FDNY pendant. Pete's dad was a New York City firemen who died during the September 11th, 2001 attacks. Pete received some backlash after he posted a picture of Ariana wearing the chain. Here's the pic.
One user criticized this by saying, "No girl should ever wear your dad’s chain. So disrespectful.”
Some people hopped on board with this guy on social, but before it got too out of hand Pete clapped back with a response.
“For ur information that’s not just some girl, that’s my fiancé. She’s the greatest person I know. I gave it to her because she has my heart and that is the most precious thing I own. My dad would be so happy and love her so much.”
Ariana Grande posted in response as well, “I love u more than anything.”

The couple got engaged in mid June. Pete confirmed their engagement later that month when he made an appearance on the Tonight Show. Check out the official video below.
Ariana Grande just released her new single and the music video for God Is A Woman. Her full album Sweetener is expected to drop on August 17th. Pete is expected to be returning to Saturday Night Live for its 44th season this fall.
The couple have not set a date for the wedding yet.
