Jordan Peele's "Twilight Zone" Revival Gets Release Date

We've known for a while that Jordan Peele , the king of all things scary and freaky, is putting his own spin on the iconic "Twilight Zone" series. However, up until now we had no idea when Peele's revival would be released. The revival, also entitled "The Twilight Zone" will be available exclusively on CBS All Access and will premiere its first two episodes on April 1, 2019 (no joke!). After the first two episodes are released, new episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays beginning April 11. Peele, who wrote and directed "Get Out" (2017) and the upcoming movie "Us" (2019) , is serving as executive producer for the anthology series that features a "revolving door cast" of stars like Steven Yuen , John Cho , Kumail Nanjiani , Jessica Williams , DeWanda Wise , and Adam Scott .

This isn't the first time that Rod Serling's "The Twilight Zone" has been revived. The original series aired on CBS from 1959-1964 and was subsequently revived by CBS in 1985 and by UPN in the early 2000s. There was even a wildly unpopular film adaptation released in 1983 that was produced by Steven Spielberg; and while the later revivals and adaptations were nowhere near as successful as the original series, something tells me that Peele will be creating a new universe that we won't want to miss.
