Marathon Runner Carries Lost Dog 19 Miles After Finding It During Race

Puppy Love

This story will have you feeling some type of way. It will literally melt your heart, I promise. A marathon runner in Thailand was in the middle of a 27 mile race in the early weeks of January when she found a stray puppy wandering around the course of the competition looking like the canine had lost its way. The runner assumed it had been abandoned with no owner anywhere to be found. The woman was quick to take action. She picked up the pooch and carried it through the rest of the marathon, 19 miles right through the finish line. That pup achieved more than I ever have.

After the duo crossed the finish line, the runner confessed to reporters that it was extremely tough running the distance with the canine, " Running almost 20 miles carrying the dog was truly a challenge. It was two times more tiring than a normal marathon but I did it anyway just because he is adorable." Later on, the woman took the puppy to checkups, vaccinations, and treatments which took a bit of time but was "worth it." After attempting to search for it's owner, the 43 year old had no luck. I guess it's for the better because she ended up adopting it herself, having it become an addition to her already dog family of two.

See, I would do the same if I saw a puppy wandering around but I don't run marathons.

Is this the way to find a new fury friend? Maybe I should start running. LOL, JK.
