H.E.R. Recalls Accepting Grammy From BTS

Gabi Wilson better known by her stage name, H.E.R. is a Grammy Awards winning singer and songwriter who rose to fame by being in Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing in 2009. The 21-year-old is still not over winning not one, but TWO Grammys this past awards season and I am here to celebrate with her.

The moment for her was one she'll never forget. The singer admits she never thought being nominated actually meant she could take home the award. "As soon as they said it everyone was like 'yea you're going to win' I'm like 'yea yea whatever I'm just happy to be nominated' but as soon as it happened it was like woah."

H.E.R. continues to say it was especially exciting to accept the award from K-Pop group, BTS. "I ran up to get the grammy.. You know BTS presenting it to me made it even more special." H.E.R. invited her whole team onstage with her to accept the award because in her words, "it takes a village."

After watching her play Coachella this past weekend, we can't wait to see what's in store next. In the meantime be sure to check out her EP I Used To Know Her: Part 2 out now!
